LARRY SNIDER NAMED OPERATIONS MANAGER
(Bend, OR) – Horizon Broadcasting Group has named Larry Snider Operations Manager of its five-station cluster of radio stations in Central Oregon.
“We are excited to have Larry join our team,” said Keith Shipman, President & CEO of Horizon Broadcasting Group. “Larry has extensive experience programming radio stations in markets large and small, from San Francisco to Spokane to Palm Springs and will be responsible for all phases of our product development in Central Oregon. Larry has a track record of success everywhere he has been and we look forward to his contributions to our operation in Bend.”
“I’m thrilled to be moving back to the Pacific Northwest to join Keith Shipman and his great team in Bend, Oregon at Horizon Broadcasting Group,” said Snider, who is a native of Seattle. “This move from southern California to Central Oregon puts me in one of the most beautiful and vibrant markets in the country and the opportunity is all the more special because it puts me so much closer to my son and daughter (attending college in Spokane and Moscow, ID).
Snider comes to Horizon Broadcasting Group from Morris Communications, where he served as Operations Manager of their eight-station cluster of radio stations in the Palm Springs, CA market. During his three decades in broadcasting he has worked as an air-personality and program director at such stations as KREM AM/FM Spokane, KXRX-FM Seattle, KRQR-FM San Francisco and KYOT-FM Phoenix. He spent three years as Operations Manager of Morris Communications’ cluster of radio stations in Anchorage, AK before moving to Palm Springs.
He was named national Program Director of the Year by Gavin Magazine for his work at KRQR-FM San Francisco/KLPX-FM Tucson in 1991-92.
Horizon Broadcasting Group, LLC owns and operates five radio stations in Central Oregon. HBG’s stations in Central Oregon include KQAK-FM (105.7, Oldies), KWPK-FM (THE PEAK 104.1, Hot Adult Contemporary), KLTW-FM (LITE 95.1, Soft Adult Contemporary), KWLZ-FM (LAZER 96.5, Classic Rock) and KRCO-AM (690 khz, Classic Country).
