SIXTH ANNUAL MAKE-A-WISH RADIOTHON RAISES $35,645!

(Bend, OR) – The sixth annual Make-A-Wish Radiothon exceeded its goal and raised $35,645 and 266,414 frequent flier miles that will help grant 8 wishes to children living with life-threatening medical conditions in Central Oregon.  The Make-A-Wish Radiothon aired on 105.7 KQAK-FM, THE PEAK 104.1 and LITE 95.1. 

The Make-A-Wish Radiothon featured Horizon Broadcasting Group air-personalities Jeffrey Brian Nelson, Dan Dubay, Bruce Cannon, Larry Wilson, Bryon Mengle, Dave Clemens and John Tesh.   The Radiothon originated from the Cascade Village Shopping Center in Bend on November 30 and December 1, 2006.

“We are so thankful to all who contributed to the Make-A-Wish Radiothon this year,” said Andrew Asato, Executive Director of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oregon.  “Central Oregon is so supportive of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the money that was raised and the frequent flier miles that were pledged will make a tremendous impact in this community – 8 young people will be able to experience the power of a wish!”
