Horizon Broadcasting Group is taking a leadership role in addressing the
frightening Methamphetamine problem in Central Oregon.
We invite like-minded businesses to share in this multi-year commitment by
joining our Partnership to Defeat the Scourge campaign.
Horizon Broadcasting Group will dedicate airtime to an awareness campaign
on all five of it’s stations, which includes:
The Partnership to Defeat the Scourge has been specifically designed for, and will be dedicated to, a long-term effort to address the Meth problem on several key levels:
- Raise awareness of the realities of local Meth issues
- Educate the public regarding the individual and societal costs associated with Methamphetamine use
- Assign a social stigma to Methamphetamine use
- Educate Meth abusers, their families and their friends, about identification of and treatment for Meth addiction
- Promote commitment within the local business community to creating and maintaining Drug Free workplaces
- Develop funding to directly assist local non-profit organizations battling the Meth problem in Central Oregon
